This class is for dancers
who want to improve their ballet skills, because Ballet is the basis
for all dance. All dancers benefit from having a strong ballet
background. Each dancer (age 7 and up) works at their own pace to
improve their skills with the help of the instructor.

BALLET SCULPT - no recital performance |
The
purpose of this class is to focus on muscle toning combined with
ballet-technique-oriented cardio. The class will perform a
structured ballet barre along with stretching, high energy movement, a
variety of combinations in the center and across the floor combinations
with music. Dance experience not necessary, but is preferred.

POINTE

Dancers must have
permission to enroll in this class. The dancer must have good technique
and body placement. Dancers in Pointe have the option to take Ballet
II/III prior to the class for no extra charge, if they already take
level IV.

ALUMNI
|
This class
is designed for the intermediate adult dancer who has jazz and
tap
skills. Dancers will do a proper warm up and work on various jazz and
tap progressions, center work and combinations. Dancers improve current
skills in a laid back atmosphere. This class performs in the
recital,
but participation is not required.

MINI
PLUS COMBO CLASS - (Ages 4 - 7) - no recital performance
|
This class
consists of hip hop, jazz and pom pon for the younger dancer. Each
class will
concentrate on one to three of the subjects listed (in no particular
order).
This is a fun class for dancers to learn different types of movement
and still
be active in dance technique.

|
JUMP, LEAP and TURN |
A class strictly devoted to turns and jumps
and the technique required to execute them. Dancers will receive
a short warm-up and technical exercises along with specific instruction
targeted to each dancer's level. Intermediate to Advanced levels.

ZUMBA - (Ages 14+) - no recital performance - punch card to be purchased |
Zumba
is a Latin inspired, dance-fitness class that incorporates Latin and
international music and dance movements to create a dynamic, exciting
and effective fitness class. Party-like atmosphere provides
non-intimidating opportunity for non-dancers, new exercisers or those
hesitant to participate in group classes. No previous dance
experience necessary! Use the punch cards to take various classes
during the week.

TEENY TUMBLING: (Children Only 2-3
years) - no recital performance |
This class will continue working on gross motor skills, and prepare
students for an introduction to tumbling. We will use props and small
apparatuses to encourage and inspire exploration. Students should be
able to separate from parents although parents will need to stay for
class in case of toileting / diapering issues. Parents will be allowed to watch the class and be
seen by the students during most classes.

ACRO / TUMBLING - Level I (4-7 years) no recital

Students may be of
beginner to intermediate levels for these classes. The class will cover
various types of skills associated with core strengthening, stretching
and
basic tumbling skills.
